Work  /  Pronto Travel

The business had outgrown the website.

A 2017 build, a blog quiet since 2022, and no cruises section for an agency that now sells cruises. The fix was a smaller site, not a bigger one.

01 / The situation

A strong family business, a site stuck in 2017.

Good business, stale shopfront.

Pronto Travel is a fully accredited, family-run Melbourne agency with decades in the business, specialising in European tours, cruises and tailor-made travel. The business was doing well. The website wasn't keeping up.

  • A 2017 WordPress build made for an earlier version of the business.
  • A blog last updated in 2022.
  • No cruises section, even though cruises now drive the offer.
  • Strong assets going unused: genuine five-star reviews, a real family story, solid tour content.

Italia Mia, Toorak Travel, Emma Whiting, Ormina Tours: the competition all present polished sites. Pronto's edge over every one of them is the personal relationship a family business offers. The site did nothing to show it.

02 / The approach

A refresh priced and sized to match the job.

Fewer pages, bigger imagery, testimonials doing the selling.

The recommendation: a light WordPress rebuild of five core templates, fixed price, four to five weeks.

  • Keep the warmth. The style people already associate with Pronto, modernised.
  • Stay on WordPress so the team adds tours, cruises and posts without calling a developer.
  • Reuse and polish existing content to keep the price down and the timeline short.
  • 301 redirects from every current URL to protect years of search visibility.

The design leans into the family advantage: live chat answered by the team in business hours, real faces on the contact page, a clear invitation to talk to a person. Online booking stayed out of scope. Enquiries by chat, form and phone suit how Pronto actually sells.

You'll see a real homepage early, we'll agree the direction from an actual page rather than abstract mock-ups, and then I'll apply it across the site. From the rebuild proposal, July 2026
03 / What was built

Five reusable templates the team can extend themselves.

The rebuild

  • Home. Hero imagery, the family story, featured tours and cruises, testimonials up front, live chat.
  • Tours. A landing page plus individual tour pages at launch.
  • Cruises. A dedicated section at last, with cruise pages at launch.
  • Travel blog, with existing posts migrated and ready for new ones.
  • Contact, combining the enquiry form with About Us and Meet the Team.
  • Reusable tour and cruise templates, so the team adds as many as it likes through the CMS after handover.
  • Tawk.to live chat. Free, answered in business hours, falling back to a contact form after hours. Training included.
  • Terms acceptance built into enquiry forms, giving a reliable record of acceptance.
  • Launch and handover. 301 redirects, GTM and GA4, on-page SEO and accessibility, CMS training, and a 30-day warranty on build defects.

04 / The outcome

Built, and being readied for launch.

The site the business actually is now.

The new site is built and being readied for launch. Cruises finally have a home. Testimonials and the family story do the selling. The family is front and centre instead of behind a template.

It goes live with every old URL redirected to its new home and analytics wired in from day one. After handover, the templates are the team's to fill: new tours and cruises go up whenever there's something to sell.
